Aliante & 215 . . City Of North Las Vegas, so you are probably cited into their city municipal court.

If not, this report may be helpful.

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but I have a DMV question:

My dad is the primary on my car loan and the plates have to stay registered in Michigan. Should I not get my Nevada license? I figured I could get my license and keep the car registered in MI, but from this thread it seems like that would get me a ticket. Any ideas?

There is an online traffic school as well, which saves a lot of time.

I fought a ticket once and it was a huge pain in the neck. They rescheduled my "trial" twice and when I finally went in, it was just a big bargaining session, where they convinced me to pay $20 and have it reduced to a parking ticket.

Rawg51: go see a lawyer, I've used Craig Kenny numerous times. It will cost you $100, no points, no traffic school. ---- Craig P Kenny & Associates, 723 S 7th St, 380-2800.

As I understand the system the Attorneys just do the same thing anyone else can do but they do it more efficiently and in batches. So there may well be a time saving.

An attorney can of course actually defend the matter...but that is a big deal in terms of costs. I would suspect that is the standard crap shoot. If you can get it scheduled right so the cop no shows you get off. Otherwise the Attorney has to walk on water. The system is not a "criminal" trial and is loaded against the accused.
Not true at all. I got a ticket for 38mph in a 15mph zone, in a construction zone. Bail was schedule "G"-- must call court for bail. Bail was $1,380. Gave it to Craig Kenny--- I paid a check to Municipal Court, $280, no points, no traffic school. The current system in place is both covenient and efficient, for both the courts and citizen. The law firms are simply building goodwill, should the need for representation arise in the future.

That is a serious ticket. I would use a lawyer too. But the normal tickets are a different story. And no it is not a simple courtesy thing. You don't advertise courtesy things on the back of busses and Fwy billboards. If you have a relationship with an attorney they might accomodate you I suppose...but the big ones are a business.

The law firms make nothing from this service. Every check I have ever made out has been to LV Municipal Court. There is nobody bigger than Kenny in this endeavour, and his sole purpose for doing this is future business. Farming if you will, ask a real estate professional about such matters.

I hope you don't need him but if you use Kenny, you will see his reasons very clearly. He is excellent on communicating and follow-up. He also has personal reasons for his service, which he will explain to you, should the need arise.
