Another option is being close to Lake Mead National Park. On that end of town a townhome would be in Lake Las Vegas or Tuscany Village. I live over there because I'm into boating and golfing and am minutes from being on the water or the teebox.

Just be aware that with townhomes/condos in Vegas the HOA dues can be significantly higher than a house in the same neighborhood. This is because you are paying for common property maintenance. If the most important thing to you is low-maintenance and low purchase price, then a a townhome is for you. But if you are willing to pay slightly more for a standalone home you get lower HOA dues and more square footage for your dollar. (and possibly better equity in the long run, though right now no form of real estate is appreciating much)

I believe Tuscany Village is out by Lake Mead, on the far southeast side of town (well away from Summerlin). It's further away from Red Rock, but very close to lake recreation, if that's your cup of tea.

You gotta be a narrow mountain goat.

I have to get a special permission from my cardiologist to show one.

LOL...those places are great. It reminds me of something you could find back east in Connecticut or Vermont or Rhode Island. Love them.

I included it because on one real estate website, it said they were townhomes. So I posted it and then found out they are apartments. They are still worth a look see anyway.
