Hello All,

Any recommendations for a place to get a good detail (polish/wax) ?

Thanks.

I too would like to know of a great auto detailer, preferably one who can get rid of swirl marks and restore paint (within reason.)

Can't give you a name, but you might try posting an ISO over at detailcity.org. Lots of pros hang out there and maybe there is a good one from Las Vegas. Good detailers are hard to find, in one of the Audi forums, there was a guy who developed such a good reputation that he ended up doing "tours" of different metro areas, flying in to polish forum members' cars. On detailcity.org you can see some great pics of restorations, going from heavily swirled, deeply contaminated paint to near perfection.

It's no guarantee, but if someone is using Menzerna auto polishes, there's a good chance they're pretty skilled. It's a brand that is used by pros and enthusiasts, and IMHO, far better than the cheaper and more commonly used Meguiars, Optimum, and PoorBoys. Actually, a truly skilled detailer could probably do a fine job with any of those, but I've found it much easier to get good results with Menzerna. Oh yeah, Zaino sucks. Ok, it doesn't suck, I use it sometimes, but there are other products out there that are just as good that don't have the cult following that Zaino has, such as Optimum.
