Well, that's true quixotic, only here in Vegas.

It's so funny, whenever I get visitors from the wrong coast, they can't get over that our fire trucks either have roulette wheels, playing cards or dice painted on them..I always love my visitor's reaction to seeing that

...or better yet...a slot tournament, consisting of 3, ten-minute sessions, with each session on a different machine. Highest total score wins....with a free awards ceremony that includes fruit, crackers, and non-alcoholic drinks.

I've seen the card draw method used before. It's nothing new, but it surprises people. It was a law created way back in the 1800's, probably 50 or 60 years before gaming became legal in Nevada. I heard the loser say it wasn't fair. I wonder if that would have been her opinion if she had drawn an Ace. I imagine that if anyone researched it they'd find coin tosses used in other states.

Yes, I believe here in New York, whoever has the BIGGEST bag of "coin" usually wins!!!

Ever heard of Pioche, Nevada?

"Guns were the only law, and Pioche made Bodie, Tombstone, and other better known towns pale in comparison. It has been reported that seventy-five men were buried in the cemetery before anyone in Pioche had time to die a natural death. According to one reputable source, nearly 60 percent of the homicides reported in Nevada during 1871-72 took place in and around Pioche."
