"Not even close" is a bit of an exaggeration. The only one that I radically messed up on was Centennial (which was an honest mistake, I forgot that I listed it).
But Sierra Vista is just around the south border of Summerlin and is the zoned school for almost all of Summerlin South. And Silverado High School is just outside Henderson borders, not far from Eastern and the 215, and is the zoned school for large chunks of Henderson. I don't have the addresses of the schools memorized, so no, I didn't know that Silverado technically isn't in Henderson or that Sierra Vista technically isn't in Summerlin. But I know that they primarily take students from the two said areas, which is what matters when shopping for a home (the zoning of the school, not the geographical location).
It's not like I ignorantly made those locations up.

Nah They regular high schools are pretty uniform
The best of the regular high schools is Coranado which finishes 7th...primarily because it is lily white and rich. If you have smart kids you send them to a magnet school or a private school.
If your kid is not a blooming genius however any of the top half of the high schools will do.
That includes a whole lot of schools not in GV or Summerlin.
Look at things like National Merit Semi-finalists. How come Clark out performs most of the monied schools?

Silverado is close to Henderson. In fact, I think it is pretty close to Coronado. Or was I just getting lost when I passed it? LOL.

Henderson's boundary is east of Eastern north of St. Rose and anything north of St. Rose west of Eastern isn't Henderson, Silverado is a good 15 minute drive from Coronado...
