Hi,

My two aunts and their husbands are flying into Las Vegas to celebrate my mom's 80th b-day. Their flight gets in around midnight and my parents can not drive at night to pick them up. Does anyone know of a economical way to get from the airport to Summerlin. Thank you so much.

I think one of the cheapest options will be for one of your aunts or their husbands to rent a car and drive there. Car rentals at McCarran are pretty cheap. One downside is that it will take a bit longer to get going.

Why not have them reschedule for an earlier flight or stay in hotel on the strip the first night? Kind of rude to arrive so late at night.
If theY arrived 3 hours earlier, they could easily take the WAX express bus to Summerlin and meet there or stay at Suncoast.

Depending on how long they are staying, renting a car is going to be cheaper than taxis... Its about 60 each way in a cab... The shuttles wouldn't be available due to the times you are arriving. Limos would run around 60 each way also.

Taxi or limo would probably be the easiest way if they must arrive at your 80 year old relatives house at 1AM or even later if the flight is delayed. They can split the cost and it will save the hassle and time of renting a car, buying gas and then returning the rental car.
If they aren't also going to be returning home during late night hours, they could be dropped off or ride the WAX back to the airport if they want to pay less than taxi fare.

Dollar or National Rent-a-car would be best. If they are geographically challenged, they can get a GPS in the car.

Or reserve an airport express van like Super Shuttle that will take the group door to door.

Just reserved a rental car for next week for business and drop in on my parents whom I helped move to Henderson in March. $12/day - really! I've seen cheap, but usually not that cheap. The "mandatory charges" appear to add up to as much as the daily rate itself. (This was through my corporate travel sites, but usually the rates there are same if not more than through regular sites.)

Nothing quite beats a $15/day Thrifty rental I once did in Florence, Italy, though - seven-level upgrade to the only car they had left in the lot, a sleek Alfa-Romeo sports sedan!
