It's a subjective thing, I reckon, so it'd be nice to hear all of your opinions.

I've lived all over this town in the last seventeen years, but there's few areas that I wouldn't feel safe even /driving/ in. The D Street area is one of those few exceptions.

Other than that, it gets a bit sketchy near the Stratosphere after 10pm, especially in the back of that area. Not somewhere where I'd want to walk.

Fremont Street, even by 10-20th Street, is actually okay at late night, provided you travel with someone. I never had any problems when I lived over near there. Same goes for the Paradise and Swenson Roads at night. Not the best of areas, for sure, but they aren't D Street or Tam Drive.

Your opinions?

Cheyenne/I-15 area. Harvard street. Cockroach/ghetto hell.
I used to have to visit that area with a friend of mine and it was terrible during the daylight hours. Would have hated to be there after dark. I am glad the friends moved away from there and out of state.

Depends on your definition of scary. Some of the "nicest" parts of town are actually filled with the most fake pretentious people walking around. That to me is always a bit scary.

The Gershom hands down. They shot a police helicopter down over their one time.

Crime rate is not always the indicator because in places like that it's a war. The police have it on lockdown status.

It's probably one of the worst hoods in the nation.
