You can still get that at Shari's Diner. It will cost you 8 bucks or more.

What is Chicago style? I'm just looking for the Roast Beef and gravy on bread with mashed potatoes.

Chicago style is like a french dip, only better. The kind you are looking for is found at Shari's Diner. "Hot open faced roast beef sandwich"

Shari's Diner: Full Menu

They even have meatloaf and pot roast. I can't wait to try it.
Thanks for the info

You may want to check out yelp before you go. It seems that most people think the place is meh and wouldn't go back.

Shari's Rock & Roll Diner - Summerlin - Las Vegas, NV

I like kitchy 50s diners (we even have a Rock-Ola Bubbler in our family room) and was thinking about heading out Buffalo to check it out after seeing the references in this thread. But then I went to Yelp and now I'm not so sure I want to make the trip.

Yea it does sound kind of scary reading those reviews.

Whatever.... I ate there a week ago. It was good. Not the best, but good. I like the open faced turkey sand, but I wish they'd use regular potatoes instead of red ones.

Windy City Beefs and Dogs, Babystack's, and Market Grille are all in the area, so you won't go hungry.

They are using red potatoes for the mashed potatoes? That is another bad sign that they might not know how to make mashed potaotes the right way.

Anyway at some point I will check them out.

If 1 person on a review site says a place is bad, I'll ignore them and test for myself.

If 101 people say a place is bad, I'll take their collective word for it and save myself some money and possibly some indigestion.
