I hate to say this but, I may go with big rip off tires. I received a redplum.com ad that advertised a $125 mail in rebate for 4 tires, my car needs 2, but my gfs ford focus needs tires as well and her tires are a lot cheaper than mine. I guess I'll go with big rip off this time

May not qualify. 4 tires have to be the same. Too bad I sold the altima otherwise I could've swapped the tires

If you had not sold your Altima, we could not swap the tires because the wheels are different sizes

Altima's 2007-present have 16 x 7 inch rims, 2002-2006 has 16 x 6.5 inch rims

Also the tire sizes are different, current gen Altimas have 215/60/16 tires, mine are 205/65/16

The bolt pattern however is the same so the wheels would still fit, however a tire swap cant be done

A while back I wanted to put present gen. Altima alloy rims onto my car and could not because of the different wheel and tire size. The cost would not have been worth it

Shipping stuff like that is expensive. Spoke to the Big O Tires location on Centennial Center Blvd, manager said he would let my buy two tires and give me $65 off instantly instead of $125 on the Big O Brand

Actually you are incorrect. If you are replacing 4 tires, you could go from 205 65 16 to 215 60 16. Another part of my past, pre 1996 managed a tire store... Yep jack of all trades expert at nada.

Davie - and anyone else interested - looks like Discount Tire is having a big sale the next two days. I've generally heard good things about them. Note that this offer is only good for two days, today & tomorrow (July 1-2).

From their web site:
"Between July 1st and July 2nd, 2011, receive a $100 Mail-In Rebate when you purchase any set of four tires or four wheels installed."

Promotion - Discount Tire

Looks like it does have to be four of the same tire for the same vehicle ... beyond that, looks like a timely deal if you need tires!
