So I was at the employment center of a casino the other day and some guy is there wearing jeans, running shoes, baseball hat and windbreaker...he had his woman with him and two misbehaved, noisy children.
What qualifications will he need to overcome all of that...first impressions and all... ...To him, there will appear to be no jobs, I'm sure!

sevenyears.mp3

Clark: "How can they have nothing for their children?"
Ellen: "Well, he's been out of work for close to seven years."
Clark: "In seven years, he couldn't find a job?"
Ellen: "Cathrine says, he's been holding out for a management position."

Karnel, I notice nobody answered your question and it's an important one for folks thinking of moving here. Electricity skyrockets in the summer, especially if you live in a two-story house. A $500 electric bill is not at all unusual. So plan on your living expenses going way up during the hottest months of the year. . .that or roasting to death.

Water is pretty cheap, surprisingly, since we're running out. Gas is not too bad, I think I pay about 45 to 60 a month, depending on how much hot water I use. Your mileage may vary.

Electricity skyrockets? Nah I have a 3 story 2700sf kept at 76 with a pool. My highest this past summer was a shade over 320. I average 100 in winter. About 230 in summer

What are a list of websites to search jobs? Indeed is the only one I can think of....

Also, where are the places to go on foot in Las Vegas?

And, if trying to get on doing ANYTHING in a casino, what's the best avenue? Apply to each online or can you go 'door to door'?

Trying to get a feel on if I go up there without a job, I wanna be able to hit every place as fast as possible to secure a job. I appreciate the help guys

Go door to door. There will be a nice HR clerk in every place that will hand you a card where to apply online. In a couple places, you will get lucky and be able to use their computer to fill out the job app.

WHEN I finally get there, I am trying to stay optimistic. I mean, I don't make much now (neither does my partner) and we actually live decent......and we live in expensive ass NJ!!!

Because we can both live off of $10-$12 hour jobs NOW, we should have no problems when we finally get there. A job, is a job. I don't mind working at In-N-Out to be honest.
