I saw what I strongly believe to be a camel spider scurrying across the desert ground yesterday. That was certainly a first for me. I've heard they are in the area but are quite rare.

Huge view camera ─ long time resident ─ dyn, did you happen to know the late Dr. Gary Adams? He was a professional photog ─ studied under Ansel Adams (no relation). His cardiac therapy clinic was his hobby so he could afford to shoot pictures. Ha. Anywho, he lived up off of Kyle Cyn Rd., and one time lost one of his puppies to buzzworm up there while walking in the desert.

Dunno. I was about 20 feet away and it was moving pretty fast. It was certainly no snake or lizard.
