I was just curious how hard it is to get a decent paying bartending job in vegas? What a decent bartending job pays? And what the cost of living would be like for an average 2 bedroom apartment?

to get a "decent" job you either need to be a really hot girl or know the right person. Good Luck

I know a retired stripper who is a bartender in a small neighborhood bar. Part time, no benefits, minimum wage plus tips. It's not enough to live on. And for her age, she's hot. I think she is working there for experience so she can move up to a better place.

There are some bartenders who make a lot of money. But there are more who don't.

Yes! And she is looking. She is VERY attractive and a nice person as well. And she has stories to tell! I'd date her in a heartbeat if I were so inclined.

She doesn't have many second dates because I think men expect her to be easy. She says it's tough trying to meet decent guys.

yellowsnow the LV Matchmaker. I would think a "finders fee" from macgeek would be in order if it works out.

Cost of living is low (relative to other places, New York, California, et al) but not cheap.

As for bartending, what experience do you have? It's normal to start out as a barback (minimum wage) and then progress to bartender after a few years.

Of my 2 best friends in Vegas, one is a bartender (@LV Hilton) and still working after 20 years. The other was a Concierge (doorman) at Paris and is now retired. He made tons of money and saved it. He now has a nice home in Henderson (paid off) and a brand new truck. My bartender friend has 80% negative equity on a home in Southern Highlands thanks to his poor decision (interest only/pick-a-payment loan).

Bartender is a derelict lifestyle (at best). If you're young, maybe as a job to sustain yourself until you figure things out.

The other day I saw a stripper wearing a shirt emblazoned with the word: "GUESS" so I responded: "implants?"
