It was my first job interview since moving here a couple weeks ago and went flawless.

I'm with the person who posted about getting a job below. Getting a job was easy so why does everyone complain? My husband just got hired for a maintenance job that pays about $48k per year... So what's the deal? I don't even have that much experience and it's been a few years since I've held a job (by choice).

And just a gripe or vent...what's with all these lousy looking cocktail servers? My first interview was a group interview and out of the 50+ women that were there only a select few (and yes, I put myself in this category) were actually attractive. Most looked worn down, tired, slutty (seriously, who goes to a job interview wearing club attire) and rough. Like party girls who never moisturize. There was another thread on here from a woman saying she wanted a cocktail/casino position and was considered beautiful. Some random guy made a statement similar to, "a Nebraska 10 is the equivelant of a Las Vegas 4"...if this is true OMG wow, that must make me a Las Vegas 25!. To this day I still haven't seen a gorgeous cocktail server, most are middle aged or young and rough looking. Or butter-faces with too many tattoos and the beginnings of beer guts. I have seen some cuties but definitely none that have made me go WOW! So what's the deal? Where are all these "Las Vegas 10's"?

I'm just saying. After reading dude's rating system, I admit, I was a bit nervous...Even though I might be considered a 10 in other places, in LV I was thinking I wouldn't be able to compete with all these mega beauties...but WOW!

That's it, rant over.

I'm excited to start working though!!

The first thing you have to do now that you are in Las Vegas is quit putting quotation marks around the word Strip.

lol you are So right bayview. I normally don't but one of my local friends does that...I assumed it's because locals must not refer to it as the strip but maybe he's just misinformed

he'sd just misinformed or a noob.....it's just the strip....as in "That strip a land out south a town where those new casinos sit."

That's how the strip got it's name......

So ends your FIRST history lesson

Maybe that's why you got the job so quick. They didn't have a great group to choose from! Congrats! And, don't let your guard down and get comfy or soon you will become one of "them"! Use your sunscreen liberally and your coconut oil too as your skin will dry in minutes!

Good luck!!!! Have fun!

There are plenty of very hot cocktail waitresses at the Wynn and Encore.

Well highschool dropouts were making six figures for operating cranes just a few years ago, so yeah, that's what the big deal is.

48k is not bad though. You could live off that for sure.

Oh and to be fair, some of these ladies might have once been beautiful women. Imagine if you keep this job for twenty years. You think they should fire you just because your not the PYT anymore?

Be humble, be gracious lest ye become one of those that is no longer needed.

Loyalty is why you see older ladies still serving drinks. And yes we do have some hot cocktail waitresses. That's not the acme of achievement for beautiful women though. Women with no other marketable skills rely on beauty, a very temporary thing. You'll find out some day.

I said something about the looks of cocktail waitresses here & someone said I needed to get my eyes checked.

I was at M a few weeks back & the waitresses looked a lot better than the last couple of times I was there.

Yes Exaday, I'm already aware of the lesson that beauty fades, hence why I will be starting medical school soon. Or not...not looking forward to anatomy, biochemistry, neuroanatomy!

Don't be so quick to assume that because one attractive, that beauty is all they rely on.
