That is unless you work at one of the resorts?as a lifelong resident I avoid the Strip as much as possible.It's dirty,crowded and dangerous.I can't tell you how many fights and disturbances I've witnessed while down there.Even the people dressed up as characters aren't safe!Granted it's catered to tourists but it would be nice if they cleaned up the crap that goes on down there and show some pride in this city.

Wife and I go usually 4 or 5 times a year. We always get a free room. We spend 2 nights each time and act like tourists. We have a great time. Get loaded, gamble a little, and don't have to drive home. We almost always play enough to get most of our meals free as well.

Then there are those like us who almost always win enough playing Blackjack to pay for the trip. We LOVE free vacations.

I go at least a 2-3 times a month, either for dining or entertainment.

I used to go more often, but now I tend to go to Town Square some of the time.

I'm there about 4-5 times a week. And unlike your experience, I haven't once seen a fight or disturbance. But then again, I'm usually there in the middle of the day to early evening, not late at night.

I usually only go if we have company lol. I'll take the kids down to walk around during the day a few times a year though.
