This should be a glorious weekend for THEcesspool, already started last night, as the NBA thugs roll into the Palms, 16 cruisers and two emergency medical vehicles there this morning @ 4:30. LA Lakers, and Sacramento Kings, what could be a better thug-fest?

If so, does the mayor and the sheriff still think the NBA and Las Vegas are a nice fit? Didn't they learn anything during the All-Star game? We have enough crime without having to import more.

You know before I moved here, I use to freqent the GS Warriors games. Now, its in Oakland, CA and there is quite a big presence of thug life. Crap happends after the games all the time (shootings via drive-bys etc..) no one seem to really complain about it in Oakland. I think it will happen here to because you're going to get that Thug Life crowd from L.A. when the Lakers are in town. It always comes down to $$$ its going to bring in.. crime is secondary

I have a Rare Rant about Las Vegas that some of you might find interesting. I drive around town quite a bit (about 500 miles a week) and lately I've seen many serious "fatality" accidents. I know people drive stupid here, but I have'nt experienced this anyware else. I've seen many accidents when I lived in the Bay Area, but I haven't seen that many with fatalities. For example, yesterday there was a double fatality on LV blv and Four Seasons. Today, there was one on Spring Mountain/15.

Is it the fact maybe people don't wear their seatbelts? Both accidents were because of a red light runner. It might be old news to some of you, but since I see it more often it kinda bothers me.
