Agave in Summerlin is FANtastic! Its not "traditional" mexican...its more coastal, fish based. Great food though!

I have yet to find a traditional mexican restaurant that's good..... snooty as that sounds lol.

The two best in Las Vegas: Frank and Fina's and Lindo Michoacan.

When did the El Burrito change it's name? I'd say they are third best though, except that Frank & Fina's and Lindo Michoacán are tied for first.

The three I mentioned are authentic. Most of the others are just chain restaurants, and are merely OK in a pinch, or great if you've never lived in a predominantly Hispanic city such as Laredo, TX (93%), or Santa Fe/Albuquerque, NM, and never had authentic. But if one were to drive around the east side of town, where most signs are now in Spanish, he'd probably find a slew of authentic Mexican restaurants that are very good. Many of the best Mexican restaurants are just a hole in the wall, and can look uninviting to non-Mexicans. But they will welcome your business and feed you right.

When I came out from Minnesota, Lindo Michoacan was the first restaurant my husband took me out to. The food was so tasty, the service was great, and reminded me of the nicer restaurants in Mexico with an out of the ordinary menu, not limited to tacos, burritos and enchiladas (although you can get all those things if you want). I had a really tender and not expensive steak - can't remember the name, maybe tampequena? Or something like that.
