You might see bombing runs over Indian Springs. We went to a rehearsal of Aviation Nation one time at Indian Springs. It was awesome. I especially enjoyed the Gatling guns on the A-10s.
You see the non existant ones on rare occassions at Indian Spgs....and very frequently at Tonopah.....but they don't exist.....

Default Moving

My husband has gotten a job offer in Indian Springs. We would need to move there immediately. I work in Marketing and Public Relations. What cities or towns nearby would be worth living in?

You could always live in Indian Springs - that is if you want the real small town feel. You'd have to drive 25 minutes to a big grochery store or for shopping (other than picking up stuff at the local stores in IS)

The best option is NW Vegas which is about 20-30 minutes up to IS (depending how fast you want to drive).

Default Indian Springs does not really exist...

There is no there there.

Whole town is like a couple of square miles. And it is relatively low socio-econmically.

You do have two choices. If you are good at ruraling it you can move to Cold Springs which is a lovely area of homes in the mountains about 20 minutes south. From Cold Springs you have to go through Indian Springs and then 20 minutes to get to any civilization.

Or you move to NW Las Vegas which is 20 minutes from Indian Springs and 25 from central Las Vegas.

NW LV can supply anything from an 80K condo to a 2 million mansion. And rentals across the whole range.

If you plan on working other than at home there is no other choice.

the reason I ask is this; I am looking at transferring from my job here to the same agency there. The duty locations are in either Indian Springs or Jean. I would like to apply to both to keep my options open and to have more areas of consideration.
I hate the drive to Indian Springs because of the wind. I use to play at that Casino with a band and I always hated going out there.

There is a town there. I would not argue it is small or anything else like that. It does have a population of 1300 and two schools in town.

Not sure where cold springs is and I tried to google it and it brought up a city in Washoe county.
