I haven't been to LLV since January, but I'm looking forward to a nice margarita at Sonora this weekend! Just wish I could play golf on the property again. Dare to dream!

On my way out this morning I noticed that they have begun to "landscape" the areas where the sod was ripped out in the north loop. Sparsely planted with desert flowers and similar.

Maybe more will be planted?

I did some reasearch on Westin Hotels with golf courses attached. Most of them are managed by Troon Management. They manage golf courses all over the world. I couldn't find if Westin actually owned the golf course itself. My gut tells me and what seems logical is that Westin would not have come to LLV without having a plan for Reflection Bay in place. Just my own opinion that I reached from reading between the lines with speaking with the GM.

CMH, I read on the Aston Hotel website that the Viera pool will be closed through April 30th. I can't believe it will take this long and be closed during "prime" spring pool weather. Makes no sense to me.

I know this may be completely coincidental, but I ran across a golf course guru website that just did a review on Reflection Bay Golf Course. Why review a closed golf course?

Obviously in looking at his reviews he doesn't do his homework. He has a review for TPC Las Vegas that claims is a PGA Tour stop but we know that it's TPC Summerlin not TPC Las Vegas. Plus he used old photos for that reviews of RB.

Makes me wonder if this wasn't done to begin hyping up Reflection Bay. Wishful thinking on my part, but you may as well wish Big!

Are you kidding me?? Man, what a joke the management of this building is! The pool was torn up on Thrusday and there hasn't been a soul there since.

Why in God's green earth would they empty the wade-in pool then? Fill the damn thing up and turn on the heater! Unbelievable....

I like LLV, but I really need to reconsider extending my occupancy at this building. Don't even get me started on the militant enforcement of the HALF FULL parking garage....

CMH, every HOA has their issues. I have friends in Belle Fiore HOA and they have similar stories about their HOA and the board. It is a thankless job and a big pain. I do appreciate that they are being pro-active on many things. If I lived there full-time, I'd be on the board, but hard to do in the limited time I am there. Before they started enforcing the parking garage, there were plenty of times that there wasn't a space for my car. The hotel guests would sometimes have 3 cars for 1 condo. At full capacity, there is only 1 spot per condo. I wasn't happy having to go park in the Casino parking garage.

There are safety issues with one of the pools being empty. You can put barriers around it, but you know someone will blow past them, fall in and hurt themselves. I'm sure that is why the whole pool area is closed off. We can use the Luna pool. It's heated.

I'm working on swapping out the cold-blue LED lights in the lobby. While I can appreciate the LEDs, they should have used warm white and not the blue-white lights. I'm trying to be senstive and not step on toes, but the lights are too cold and harsh for our lobby.

Overall, Viera is a great place.

I hear ya LLVRes....

I can understand why they wouldn't fill one pool while the other is empty and being worked on. My frustrations stem from the inconsistent and conflicting information from the HOA. First we had a written notice that the pool was going to be heated from March thru the summer. Then they came back and said that the pool would be closed for a week for resurfacing and open the first week of April. ....now they're saying May 1st!

Come on. I could get a compay to build 2 brand-new pools quicker than these guys are scheduled to "resurface" one. The HOA should hold the contractor accountable for a timely job or get a new contractor. Notwithstanding the fact that the job should have been done 2 months ago.

It's very frustrating that these issues aren't conveyed to residents up front. Everything seems to be done by the seat of their pants on the fly. Now I have guests in town next week and it will be a major inconvenience. Would have been nice to know in advance.

I'm sure the short-term guests that booked their plans months in advance won't be happy either.
