I freely admit[and with a GREAT deal of pride] that I have NEVER in 58 years of employment, had to stoop to a cardsnapper/coupon passer/ pimps job.

Sadly, I am neither cute, no female, nor have the morals to use someone like that
so I'm unemployed. (doing this job anyway)

Jonathan

But if you were that hot and had that little morals, why not just swing on a pole? I'm sure they make better money than "promoters."

From what it sounds like you are also at the mercy of the club to be honest. For instance, you hand out 300 cards, 20 people show up and display the card with your name on it. The door guy collects the cards, turns them into the office. The office claims that only 3 people showed up with your cards... and pay you for the three. Can that happen? How do you know you are not being cheated with this job?

The high end clubs could easily net a quarter million dollars on a typical Thurs. Fri. Sat.
Waaaaaaaaaaaaay more on a holiday weekend.

...a 750 ml bottle of Grey Goose witch is 40 bucks @ Costco will set you back $375 before tax and tip. And even that won’t get you a table for which a two-bottle minimum is typically required...

I don't think they have time to nickel and dime some BS promoter over small beans.
They'd loose all of them and word would get out not to work for them.
If anything it's the other way around.

Ahh, well that makes sense. I don't go to clubs, never have so I had no idea what type of business or revenue they do.

I THOUGHT that was Charlie Sheen at the Wynn the other day. What did the rest of the resort have to drink?
