It just looks to me like an attention "ore" in your pool.

Does the webcam ever make things glow like that or have a flash while it takes pics?

Welcome back to Stone Age logic. Hasn't anybody ever heard of a lens flare? Heck, that's only one of dozens of possible logical explanantions.

... but oh yeah, it must be a spiritual thing...
Or, a ghost fart.

SAP. Figure that out. People can believe what they wish. There are enough people to go around. We have scientists spouting and religious people doing the same. Who cares? Makes the world go round.

Never heard of a lens flare. Missed that lesson, but of course I wasn't interested in that. I have seen many pics with orbs in them from the house I am in here in MI. But, I never noticed them in past home pics. I wonder if the digital cameras produce those and the "film" cameras did not. Either way, it is much more fun to think that it is something spooky or eerie, rather than and boring "lens flare"!

Maybe it is a firefly. A very big one.

It is a result of the infrared lights attached to the camera.
The closer something is to the infrared camera, the more bright it becomes.

Ah yea, now that you mention that I know what you mean. That takes care of the brightness. I guess we'll just be left wondering what the 'thing' was.
