Macayo - At the Decatur, W Charleston plaza, a few doors down from the smart and final. I gotta say that the food was much better than I expected and while it was pricier than I am used to for Mexican, it was very tasty and portions were generous. The girlfriend and I were feeling a tad randy so we ordered their souvenir margaritas at $10 a pop and were not disappointed. We use the take home mugs to make jello in, they're huge.
Nice staff, roomy tables, and it had to feel of a decent enough place.
Moral of the story; ever so slightly pricier than your average Mexican joint but good.

thx for the tip, chest
or thanks to whoever suggested Komol.
ppl in the lab wanted to go to lotus of siam for dinner, but a quick call suggested there would be a big wait. but i remembered the tip to check out Komol (in the same commerce area) and it was worth it.
while the food wasn't as hot as i wanted it (i rarely get it as hot as i want it...i think i have a sickness ), it was still really good. i got a red curry dish that was as tasty as any other red curry i've had. and the wonton soup was a nice surprise (big, meaty wontons, slices of twice cooked pork, good veggies, good broth). and since one of my friends is a vegetarian, she was super happy about the large veggie-options (even for an asian place, this had a large selection).
the other ppl's dishes also looked good (a veggie curry, some cashew chicken, a thai soup, and some sort of salad).
definitely will go back. thx again. i look fwd to hitting more of the places you guys suggested to me.
just another reason to love LV! i was worried moving from LA that i would miss the great food options....not the case!

Hmmm. That must have been before 1964 because I never saw it.

China A Go Go has a few locations. I like the lunch specials! They are in NLV (decatur/ann), Henderson 7 Hills (eastern/grand hills), Southwest (Durango/Warm Springs and Cactus/So. Highlands)

the original is also at valle verde and paseo verde, but we've been to both the one in GVR and the one in Seven Hills, and they are nothing like the one in Southern Highlands...there is a waitress named Cindy, she knows what everyone has ordered in the past and will bring out stuff for you that you hadn't ordered and comp it...

Two of my favourite places to get food from is 8ONO8 Musubi (Hawaiian) 8ONO8 Musubi - The Innovative Fast Food Alternate - Las Vegas, Nevada at W. Sahara & S Buffalo. And the other is DJ Bibingkahan a Filipino restaurant at Maryland & Sahara, it is great food and great prices.

So this doesn't pertain to restaurants but it does pertain to food as the thread is entitled.
Since moving here from Michigan I have not been able to find my favorite brand of french onion chip dip. It is Called Hellava Good Dip and I was wondering if anyone has ever had it, seen it, heard of it, or knows where to get it.
