Vegas? I would like to find a good Chinese restaurant in America that isnt a buffet serving reheated sesame chicken, mongolian beef, and sweet and sour with barely any chicken in it. Dont get me started on the ones that have french fries, pizza, jello, and supermarket birthday cake.

I have rolled through a number of times, but have never stopped at any of the eateries. As with most Chinatowns, there will be some great hidden gems, but mostly a lot of run of the mill stuff that I can get in a Des Moines suburb, not to mention quite a few that would make the hardiest health inspector puke. In most places you can order off the menu but most people don't do it becasue they may not know what the real food is.

My in laws are from China. There ARE some good spots around Spring Mountain. But keep in mind that the better the Chinese restaurant, the less it's going to taste like westernized Chinese food. The only similarity between Chinese food and American Chinese food is the rice.
