Half true in my situation. While I managed there I hired felons from the half way house. These guys were driven to work, brought a bag lunch, and if they weren't working out for any reason their PO picked them up immediately and thanked me for giving them a chance.

No child molesters though, they tried to send me two of them one day and the other felons were going to send them straight to the hospital or morgue...that never happened again.

The guys that stuck around were hard workers that were thankful for their job, had great tattoos, and told stories that could be converted to screenplays.

So, you are saying as a screenplay writer, I should start working at Jiffy Lubeâ„¢

Yes, if you want some great ideas you could always moonlight there! I have to say that I imagine you writing science fiction though... I'm not positive that violent prison stories or the craziness that got them there will apply to that genre. Or could it?

I had my car towed to Subaru, there were no fluids in the car, no oil, no transmission fluid, no brake fluid...complete system mess up. They could not get out of paying for the problems, Subaru verified what was wrong with the car, one day after I had gone there...I got a rental car, and my car repairs completely paid for, a new engine, new brakes, new transmission. So, was my experience good or bad? They messed up, but they took care of it.
This also happend to my step son in Illinois and they also paid for it.

Darn, I just read through all these posts & I still don't know where to go for a badly needed oil change. (It's been 18 months since the last one at the dealership covered under warranty). I've got a Mini Cooper if that makes any difference. Could someone please help? Thank you so much!

Good lord, you're at least 6 months overdue. From what I've read, the recommended oil for a Mini is 100% synthetic 5W-30, and the recommended oil change interval is at most 12 months and 10-12k miles. Isn't there a maintenance light that comes on when the computer thinks you need an oil change? Synthetic oils can go a long time between oil changes, but you're just asking for trouble by ignoring your car's maintenance schedule.

Why don't you just take it to the dealer?

Terrible's Lube has never tried to rip me off or sell me something that I didn't need. If you take your car there, and they try to put in anything other than 100% synthetic, run away. Their computer should know that the recommended oil is 100% synthetic 5W-30, and that's what they should tell you it needs.

Thank you! I was married forever to a car nut so I got to drive fancy cars & never worry about them. Now I need you guys! No, my computer isn't telling me anything at this point. I've probably only put 3k miles on since the last change so maybe 18 months isn't as bad as it sounds. Now I'll Google Pep Boys & Terribles Lube.

time is worse than mileage.. hope you don't have a sludge buildup... and if you have a future major issue, they are going to know you missed the oil changes... hence void warranty
