Did you have fun? Ive heard you need to worry about your property when you leave for a period of time? Breakins? Burgulary? Did you have any problems or do you get someone to watch over you home?

I know that this wasn't intended for me, but a good alarm system typically does the trick.

Everything was fine. We have great neighbors who looked out for our house. We let them use the pool in exchange

Also, we do have an alarm system that is monitored.

I will echo what 5kings said about aliante. There are kids all over the place out and about. Especially at Nature discovery park. they have a really kid friendly play area and a dino dig (giant sandbox) for the smaller kids. Also, a water play area. And people feeding the ducks right next to the "dont feed the ducks" sign. lol

I go walking when it's cooler and i always pass Aviary park. Always parents with kids playing on the slides, etc. Older kids and young men playing basketball. Soccer games a few nights a week there. walkers, runners, people walking their dogs, people bicycling, kids on skateboards, scooters, etc. This is an active outdoor type community. We have 3 parks all within walking distance. 2 very close to my area. One is right across the street from my entrance, next to the elementary school. The other one is across the beltway, which there is an overpass with a sidewalk to get there.
So, yes, to answer the original poster, kids do play outside here.

Yes it is. As are just about all area's of Vegas.

Ok, i read that again. I'm not sure my answer is correct. Culturally diverse or ethnically diverse? Las Vegas doesn't have a lot of culture people say. I don't know what they expect when they ask that. Museums? Art galleries?

PinkString: Sorry I stated the question wrong. I did mean ethnically diverse.

As pinkstring said all areas of Las Vegas are ethnically diverse. That is one of the things I love most about it. We had none of that in the town I lived in Michigan.

I don't have kids anymore, and my four year old granddaughter is too young to play outside alone, but I see kids playing outside all over town all the time. We only have one family of kids in my little community but they play outside a lot.
