These political oriented threads always get ugly. I've never seen one yet that doesn't expose the emotional, self-hating fringe of Americans residing on the far left of the political spectrum. God help us if they elect Edwards.

That's true and I hate to get sucked into them. But to disagree with the way some politician sees things is one thing; to want to kill Americans because of some paranoid idea that the government is out to get you is just plain psychotic.

I'm the furthest thing from left-wing. Will you still support the government when it's President Hillary or President Obama? If things are bad now, just wait until the next administration. It will be much worse.

I stand corrected and yes I would continue to support this country and its government. I wasn't wild about supporting the morally flawed Bill Clinton during his term but did so because ultimatly, we are all Americans. Regarding this election cycle, leave it to the Democrats to come up with worse choices than Hillary.

It wouldn't be easy to support either one of them as dog catcher, but the government would need our support even more if either one of them gets elected. I don't really believe Obama isn't a Muslim in disguise, and I think Hillary is a communist. In fact, I suspect that the Clintons could be the Manchurian Candidates given their past history with China. After all, Bill was a draft dodger that spent a long time living and studying in Russia. And then there's all the financial support China gave him, plus the secrets that they were able to get while he was president. The Chinese are very patient and believe that they will eventually take over and rule the world. With their philosophy it isn't too much of a stretch to believe that they, or any foreign power, could easily groom someone to eventually become president here. And they probably wouldn't put all their eggs in one basket, so there might be others just waiting and hoping for their turn. People (lawyers) like the Clinton's would sell their soul to the devil for all that wealth and power.

As Americans we face a lot of challenges. We don't have to blow it all up and start over though. We have a history of knowing how to deal with difficult issues, and getting through them OK. Our success is what makes others so jealous. But instead of duplicating what we do they irrationally want to destroy us. For us to get irrational and help them do it is just nuts.

The federal government has lost all credibility and should be actively opposed by freedom seekers. The local Las Vegas government never had any credibility to begin with; they've always been corrupt. High property taxes will be an issue; as market values decline, they will not lower assessments.

I've gotta know. Do Republicans really believe that if Obama were to reach the White House that he's going to put on a robe, thank Allah, and claim this nation for the world of Islam? I've heard that the right is salivating for Obama to be the Dem candidate so they can unleash the fury that is his Muslim upbringing (and let's not forget the ultimate sin of his middle name, Hussein).

I'll never quite understand the earth shattering difference between the sin of lying about sexual misconduct which shamed an office and lying about a claim for war which shamed a nation. Republicans tend to hang their hat on this great misdeed and shout down opposition as freedom haters, unpatriotic and not supporting our troops.

I wouldn't know, I'm not a Republican. But I do know that there is a group of Muslims who are infiltrating the U.S. that are allowed to eat pork, hang with broads, drink, etc., in order to Maintain their cover. I'm just saying why should we take the risk? We don't need Obama. If I had my druthers I'd druther see Joe Lieberman as Prez.

I also feel that if someone wants to be a martyr that we should accommodate them by helping them to achieve that.
