Can anyone enlighten me as to the length of time I need to wait before I will be able to go from an "on call" position to a part-time or full-time position at the casino I work at.

They hired me last month and I haven't worked one day with them yet. The only hours I had on my first check is when I went for the orientation.

Thanks for any help.

usually OC can be not only full time, but more... it just depends on the position and casino. don;t read to much into it.

We're also going into the slow time of the year. A lot of the new hires aren't getting many (if any) hours.

Thousands of people in Las Vegas work on call their whole lives and never miss a day.

Thanks to everyone. I am beginning to see how this works. If the casino is busy, I'm working.
