Default Any Northeast transplants??

I'm from NJ / NY / Philly area...been here my entire life. Usually when I visit some place, I say I like it but I could never live here, except for Vegas. For some reason when I went there I really fell in love with it. It just seems like a city that really matches my personality.

I am young, single and work in marketing (which I assume has to be big industry there with so much entertainment going on) and sometimes I fee like why not try to get a job there and then pack up and move.

But even more than missing family and friends, I have a fear of missing the coast. I know it seems stupid, but it's going to be so weird to not be able to get in the car at be at the ocean in an hour.

Did anyone else from the north east feel this way?? What other challenges have you faced from moving? What things do you miss from back east?

Thanks, any stories appreciated

NYC/Queens here. Miss the food, culture & walk one block convienience. But that said i'm happy here. Better weather, lower cost of living, less congestion, everything's new & clean, lot's of outdoor recreation and easy access day/weekend trips to UT,AZ,CA etc. Yes I miss the ocean but enjoy the mountains and can get to the ocean for a weekend. Not the same as a day trip but it'll do.
