Thought I would share what I heard on the radio this AM in regards to the most dangerous intersections in the valley.

According to accident reports they are:

Tropicana and Paradise
Tropicana and Eastern
Tropicana and Pecos
Flamingo and Pecos
Sahara and Ft. Apache

Sounds to me like driving Tropicana is dangerous.

Yes. I think it's good idea to just avoid Tropicana. I'm kind of surprised. I thought the most dangerous intersections would be located up and down Sahara

Go to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and choose "crimewatch" at the top. Then you can opt for everything or just accidents and give the location. It will show you the data from the last 60 days

The should include highway interchanges as well

I-15 at Sahara has an accident almost daily

Sahara and Ft Apache huh? Never struck me as a dangerous intersection

How about Flamingo and Maryland?

I dont know how to feel about those Trop cross streets. I can see lots of accidents at Trop/Paradise considering that intersection is bordered by the airport on one side and UNLV on the other, and the strip maybe 1/2 mile to the east

Trop and Eastern is bad though, and the construction isnt making life easier

Yes to Flamingo and Maryland!

Surprised that little cluster where Boulder Hwy, Flamingo, and Nellis meet ISN'T on the list.

I'll contribute another...

Centennial Pkwy and 215 via the frontage road

There is a Vons/Target plaza here...the intersection is so budy with cars getting on and off 215 and there is no traffic light, just stop signs, it makes the intersection confusing (as to when its your turn to go) and dangerous, Ive had very many near misses here

The only problem I've had at the one is the people turning right to get to the 215 treat the stop sign as a yield, well actually more like a continual green light Stop signs seem a hard concept for most drivers.
