Hello, everyone

Ok, I have been living in Vegas for awhile. I still don't know my way around due to, I hate driving. So my apartment lease is over with soon, and I'm planning on moving to another apartment, but I want something cheaper. Right now I am paying over 900 for a 2 bedroom and 2bathroom in the southwest area. I would to remain in the southwest area but I don't want to be to far from the airport area(work wise). So I am wondering is it possible that I can find a 2br 2bth decent, safe apartment in the southwest area around the price of 700-780.(I was told it's a renter's market????) I tried craigslist but I'm not having any luck. Should I try to locate a realtor and see if they have some properties for rent(if so how does that work)?

Thanks

Considering the numerous listings, how is that possible? Since crime can occur anytime-anywhere, your "safe" expectations may be unrealistic. Where are many of the "ethically challenged" that walked-away from financial commitments now residing?

the one's that walked away are not paying 700 for a 2br unless they are in a rougher area.. they are in the 900-1000 range for the apt and 1100-1200 for a house

Looking on Craigslist I'm seeing a lot of apartments WAY cheap! Maybe in a bad part of town though since I don't know good from bad there yet...but I don't care all that much...I'm not in the best part of town here either.

half the crap on Craigslist is fraudulant... Read the news.... If its cheap, its too good to be true.... 1 bedrooms in a half decent area of vegas run around 600-700 rougher around 500 very rough 400.... 2bedrooms 900-1000 , 800-900, and then 700 is rough....

Davie rents in Centennial - good area but far from the strip for i believe around 800 ish....
LVD rents in a very rough area, a 1 br for i think 380ish

and if you are looking at homes make sure they arent in foreclosure

We live in Henderson on GV Pkwy. Our rent is 795 plus water for 2 bed, 2 bath. W/D is $20 more or bring your own for free.
Our apartment place is called Green Valley Country Club luxury apartments. We have lived here for 16 months and have had no problems. It is super quiet, only exception are kids playing in the tennis courts, but they are not too loud. People keep to themselves.

For someone like you, I would recommend this place. I wanted to move there, but could not afford it.

Las Vegas, NV Apartments - Oasis Place

I'm curious why you would think that would be a good place for me...I tend to rather just pay lower rent.
