mac, you did fine... I used DAS for about 80% of all the cars shipped from Cleveland for my dealership. and if you would have paid someone to drive it, you would pay for gas, lodging, etc... and of course the worry of something happening to it...

Now you will easily be spotted in town, since I think there are only about 1 or 2 others with that color that I have seen. If I see it in a parking lot somewhere, I will have my picture taken next to it, pointing at the license plate.

My offer would have bought it down maybe $200, as I would have used my Wyndham timeshare points (I have 497,000 to burn for 2012) for stops along the way. All-in-all, you're probably better going the way you did, as having my 86yo dad living with us, has a way of changing plans unexpectedly for me.
