I went to broadacres this last weekend, and I know about Not Just Antiques Mart...
Are there any other swap meet or flea markets that you folks know about? I am not talking about indoor stores, but antique or garage sale items... similar to rosebowl or long beach swap meets(if you are familiar) even if they only pass through vegas once a month

thanks

Can I get a review of Broadacres? Is it a lot of vendors with cheapish dollar store stuff, or are there any funky junk/collectible vendors there? Or would antique/collectible dealers just have booths at a local antique mart? Do you have to be there at the crack of dawn?

What say the locals?

You will only find the Rose Bowl and Orange County Flea Markets in Pasadena and Orange County. Matter of economics. Nine million people can support those things better than two million can. Also I suspect it's a regional thing, and possibly a weather thing. Doubt they have those in Chicago or New York. I hear it's worth the drive to go down there on weekends for them.

If you are just looking for antiques there are some antique consignment malls around town.

All three in red. Some people are just cleaning out a storage, some people are downsizing, others are selling whole sale items, others bounce back and fourth between Cali, Arizona and Vegas making a living selling "vintage" things.

My mom who has been dealing in antiques for about 20 years came out to Vegas to visit. She was a little disappointed in what Broad Acres had to offer. She has been going to swap meets/Flea markets/yard sales out in Florida, Georgia and S. Carolina area all her life. She is used to buying a $3 piece of old junk and re-selling it for $20+.

Even though she complained about what Broad Acres had to offer, she still left with a couple of hundred dollars worth of stuff.

She got lucky and found a couple of dealers that didn't know what they had. They were selling old silk lace and hand made quilts for a couple of dollars here and there. Also found a dealer that was selling late 1700s silverware made out of 100% silver. My mom purchased almost everything the man had for about $150.

That same day before going to the swap meet, I drove my mom to over ten different yard sales. We were suppose to go to one or two but when my mom sees a "YARD SALE AROUND THE CORNER" sign. We must stop.

She sounds like my daughter.

yeah... broadacres is nothing like OC swap(all vendor based) or long beach/rosebowl antique swaps... it's just a bunch of stuff. you can find cool things there and the food is good. but it's more of a latino shopping mart/garage sale situation. there are plenty of vendors with new goods at good pricing(gee, I wonder where all those blurays come from ) and you get people with car loads of crap that is fun to look through, but don't expect any treasures.

we used to get a lot of storage wars type sellers in OC... I dont see that here.

+1 for driving the 3.5-4 hours to rosebowl/long beach if you are serious about antique swapping, I guess I figured there would be more out here in vegas due to the financial situation. I had heard that vegas had the best garage sales in the nation because of it... and I do find great deals on Criagslist!!!
