To answer the OP's question re: where on a map is Seven Hills:

Intersection of St. Rose/Seven Hills (it's between Eastern and Maryland). Follow Seven Hills Dr. on the map, it's a loop. Also Grand Hills is part of Seven Hills.

We love it here in Seven Hills.

Anthem is a master planned community in the city of Henderson.

This article has references to Phoenix rather than Vegas, but explains the difference between a master planned community and a subdivision well.

89135 is the zipcode for Summerlin, NV. And Wikipedia Summerlin population in As of November 2010, was nearly 100000.

However there are other zipcodes as well which is very confusing, when your looking at properties you will see a property that is listed in Summerlin under these zip codes 89144,89128,89138,89108,89108,89144,89145.

To answer your question what is a master planned community it is an area that a developer like Howard Hughes which had purchased land west of the strip in what at the time was considered a very bad idea since all that was out there was desert and named it after his mother's maiden name Summerlin so the Las Vegas historians tell me.

What happened is parts of land were sold off to different developers/builders to build smaller communities inside Summerlin. So you have a Las Vegas Master planned community of Summerlin that has other smaller communities with in Summerlin. That is why when you live in Summerlin you will have two hoa's one for Summerlin and one for the community you live in Summerlin.

This is also true of communities even though Howard Hughes had nothing to do with them. Communities with in the city of Henderson built master planned communities within the city like Anthem, McDonald Ranch, Roma Hills, Green Valley etc you get the idea. Hopefully I haven't totally confused you.
