$40/month for an unlimited bus pass is very cheap!

Has anyone found a reliable detailed first-person account of riding the buses around LV? Which bus stops are acceptable to wait in during the summer? It looks PRETTY BAD to be waiting on the bus in late July. How many express bus routes are there around Vegas? Etc.

Most bus stops are near shops, places like starbucks,etc. So instead of waiting outside in the heat, if you can wait in a nearby business with a/c and you can watch for the bus from there, or go out when the bus is due, you won't suffer as much. And there are usually tree's nearby or other shady spots. Most people gravitate to the shade to wait. It's tolerable.

Also, a very important gadget to get is one of those personal fan/misters. It's not that big, hangs around your neck. It runs on batteries. You fill one part with water. And when you need to cool off, just turn it on and it's very effective at keeping you cool. I have a couple of those, and i also carry a mini personal fan with me wherever i go in the summer. some businesses skimp on the a/c, like Home depot, so i can keep cool anywhere.
