For southern Utah fishing check this link. Watch the audio when you open it though. Wish they wouldn't do that. Southern Utah Fishing Waters

There are trash fish too that you'd want to bring in and dispose of for the good of everyone. I think you can still catch trout, but the other fish eat them, so I don't think there are many except right after the rangers stock them. Not sure if that's Nevada Fish and Game, Arizona Game and Fish, the Feds, or a combination of all three. Trout can't spawn in Lake Mead due to warm water temps, but get out there during bass spawning season in the shallows and catch all you can eat.

Lake Mead is not polluted.
Are those considered dog fish? Or are they the mutts of the lake?

Too much work. K-Mart sells worms. "A River Runs Through It" can kiss my bass.

I'd guestimate that you'll see maybe 1 in 1000 flying fishing in Nevada.

Yes, it's below the hatchery, correct? There's also a spot my buddies and I discovered one time just down river of the docks at Willow Beach where there was an underwater obstacle that creates fast moving water in the middle of the river. Fast water equals more food and oxygen and trout love that. Probably cooler water temps there too. We anchored our boat there and caught bunches of trouts.

Actually fly fishing is big in NV. More in the north part of the state where there are more streams and creeks to fish out of. There is a fly fishing club in Las Vegas that meets once a month on Sunday at Willow Beach. They give free lessons if you ask them. It just takes practice. I have hooked my own @ss more than once learning how to cast.

No Icebox cove is located off Lake Mojave. You take the 95 on the way to Searchlight and turn off at the Nelson road turn off and follow it to the end. The dirt road going south about a 1/4 mile takes you to Icebox cove. They stock it twice a year and it stays unmolested from the stripers.

Yes, it really is part of Lake Mojave, but it still looks like the river at that point. I've been to Nelson many times. Fished there before the Nelson Marina (or whatever they called it) was wiped out by the flood. That was a loooooooong time ago. Did a really dumb thing while prospecting around Nelson too, but lived to tell about it.

But thanks for the tip. Been thinking about going there and fishing from the bank. I'm hesitant because the furry people would have to go, and I'm a little afraid for them down there among all the rattlesnakes. They have to sniff every bush. Beats driving all the way to Willow Beach though.
