My grand-daughter is into Ballet/hip hop/jazz/tap type dance and the family will be out the first 4 days of April. I'd prefer not to have to spend 100.+ per person to see a show, but would really like to find something involving some of these types of dance that we could take the family to.

Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas? - I'v checked the web and anything I find is either expensive or doesn't have April dates - could I be looking too soon?

Thanks everyone,
Pam

I may not be of too much help here, but a lot of the more famous shows run indefinitely--Cirque shows, Phantom (although it's closing in Sept), Jabbawokeez, etc. meaning they have several shows a week, every week of the year. In which hotel are you staying? Willing to bet that they offer room+show packages, but maybe you've already checked? If you haven't already, check out bestofvegas.com, lasvegasadvisor.com, and lvol.com. You may find some links to reduced ticket prices and some shows that may interest your granddaughter...good luck, and hopefully someone will chime in with more advice!

Thanks - we're locals, our son, daughter-in-law and grand-daughter will be staying with us so there's no hotel association.

I've seen the Jabbawockeez and must admit it was pretty good. If your grand-daughter is a fan of So You Think You Can Dance (or any similar dance shows), she'll love it.

You're right - the dates are wrong - real shame because there's a couple she would have really enjoyed.

Thanks

Thanks Logline and Bledsoe - I think I'll try to get tickets for this one - I'm sure she'll enjoy it.

Thanks

Ah, must have missed that the first time around, sorry! The links may still be of help, though, as they came from a previous thread about how people stay on top of all the entertainment in town. You must know some shows do local discounts, too...good luck!

We just saw Le Reve. As locals we got the second seat for $30. There was a little girl about nine or ten sitting behind us. It's a great show, but don't know if it's got the kind of dance you're looking for. But I imagine she would be thrilled anyway. You all would. Up until then I thought The Beatles - Love was the best Cirque show. Now I don't know. The music in Love is probably best, but the effects and acrobatics in Le Reve might be better.
