Hi, I'm coming out to Vegas for a month and half to play cards and work remotely from wherever I rent a place. I have a 30 lb dog (service animal) so I need to consider him as well.

I'm planning on staying right on the Strip or so, so I can walk to casinos, etc.

Since he is a service animal, I'm allowed to rent in places where dogs are not allowed. However, if the private owner is adamant about no pets, then I would not want to push myself on the property owner.

I've heard good things about the MGM signature, Veer, Panorama, Meridian.

I've been looking at rentals ranging from $1500 - $2300.

Obviously, I need to take my dog out for walks. I guess it would be nice to have a grassy area to bring him but if there are other options nearby then I'd make do.

What do you think of the options that I've been looking into: MGM Signature, Veer, Panorma, and Meridian in regards to living for 45 days with nearby casino convenience and also living with a dog?

Thanks.

I know Veer has an animal area... the others, I am not sure about. I would imagine MGM does also.

I do know it is okay to take your dog on the strip, but certainly there are no grassy areas. Vegas is one giant parking lot of concrete and asphalt.

I would look up "pet friendly" hotels/motels

Check here : All hotels that allow pets I found 80 hotels that allow pets: (According to the site, you may have to check them out, I did not go through these: Las Vegas Hotels that Allow Pets - TripAdvisor

I'd be more concerned about your desire to walk to casinos. How far are you able to walk? It can be half a mile just getting out of the MGM to the sidewalk. The strip is just over 4 miles long, and the hotels are huge. You can easily walk a mile inside the hotel. Where do you intend to play? That may be where you want to stay.

Well, most of the hotels have a card room, so you don't need to be confined to the Bellagio. I'd want to play where there are a lot of tourists coming to lose their money, but able to give me little challenge, not where I'd have to play against the best and lose my stake.

If you have a service animal and a hotel denies to rent you a property ....

That sounds like the basis of a lawsuit under the ADA laws. Here is a bulletin from the US Department of Justice:

ADA Business Brief: Service Animals

I'm less concerned about the dog (service animal) issue and more about which high rise or place I should select. Yes, I have rights since my dog is a service animal but I wanted to select the place that was the most pet friendly or rather conducive to owning a pet, ie. private grass area, etc. In addition, I want to be close and within walking distance of the popular casinos so I can play poker.
