Flatscreen on wall....
My HOA says nothing should be attached to any of the studs in the walls. Do you know how a flatscreen can be placed on the wall then?

What the hell your HOA is telling you that you can't hang stuff in your house? Tell them to GFTS!

I think they meant the outside of your walls or maybe they are playing an early April fools joke on you.

I suspect von949's post may answer the OP's question, but stay on topic, please.

I would just call the HOA and ask for clarification.
I can't imagine an HOA having the power to limit what gets screwed into interior walls -- especially considering we just hung a few pictures and mirrors with screws anchored in the studs. Under the scenario you describe, that would be forbidden.
I imagine this policy was put into place to limit hose reels, tacky decorative gewgaws, and various things hanging from hooks on the exterior.
But just call them and ask. Make 'em work for that $50/mo.

Are you a owner or renter? If you are a renter and the HOA owns the place they can do it.

Do they come inside and inspect?
A little spackle and paint when you leave and nobody would know the difference.
I'm just sayin'.

Scoop, you hung them to the studs. I hang my pictures using dry wall anchors... Guess this is a loophole. Get a big enough "stucco anchor" and as long as it isn't in a stud then I guess your fine...
