I was looking at some old road maps of Arizona. In 1938, small portions of Arizona were in the Pacific Time Zone. A small part of southern Nevada was in the Mountain Time Zone.

We work with customers and governments in 49 states and most of the Canadian provinces, and most of our customers are in either the Central or Eastern time zones. We have to open our business at 5am to service those customers...

In my case, "Podunk" would be Los Angeles, and I have no interest in going back, but time zone is the primary reason we're planning on moving to Texas within a few years. Opening at 7am is very palatable, and having to be answering phones and working at 5am just... isn't. Especially for night owls like us.
