Driving through Mesquite in late April. Will need to stay over a night and hopefully in one of the casinos.
Any recommendations?

P.S. I know this is LV board, but you all seem so well versed on other parts of the state. Thanks.....

Trip Advisor

Check the event calendar (http://www.mesquitenv.com/WebApp/GoogleCalendar - broken link) . . sometimes various sports events (softball and soccer) fill up the cheaper rooms. NASCAR weekend is another example . . many fans stay in Mesquite and take a charter bus down to the Las Vegas Speedway.

I keep seeing commercials for the Casablanca hotel and casino advertising rooms for $39 a night during the weeknights. Weekends will of course be much higher.

Cheapest would be Virgin River (breakfast included). Rates vary but definately cheaper than Eureka or Casa.

We go to Mesquite at least once a month and we always stay at the Virgin River unless we get specials from other hotels. Their breakfast buffet is very good. Virgin River is an older hotel and the casino is seperate from the rooms. They also have a bowling alley, bingo etc.

If you are looking for a more updated casino and rooms, then Casa Blanca would be a good choice. They also have a free comedy show, usually every Saturday evening.

We have also stayed at Falcon Ridge and the rooms are very nice. This hotel has no casino so you have to drive to other hotels for that.

Virgin River is our favorite casino in Mesquite as well. I love playing bingo there

Thank you. We will need a clean room and bed after about an 8 hour drive. Breakfast sounds like a good addition.
Does Virgin River have interior hallways? Just a phobia with exterior entrances.
Thanks again.

For just an overnight stay, which ever is the cheapest works fine in Mesquite. Nothing there is very fancy, you can get cheap breakfast at any of the casinos. We stayed at Casablanca a few nights last year, room was cheap $24 a night or something like that.
