IP is going to go through a major renovation where it will be renamed. That is likely in 4Q 2012 or 1Q 2013. Flamingo is being remodeled and may already be finished which included adding Margaritaville casino. Bill's has no immediate plans AFAIK. The major project set years ago to take up that block is shelved, probably forever.

O'Shea can you see...by the dawn's early light...what so proudly we hailed...at the neon light's gleaming. From the broads and low stakes...to ridiculous fights....O'er to The Rampart we go....before the next closing. And the neon's red glare...beer stench in the air...gave truth through night...still Las Vegas is there! O'Shea can your closing...be future signs to come?..in the land of sin...and the home of The Rave.

Play ball!

My mother-in-law just retired from there as a cocktail waitress. Early to mid 60's and she still has great legs.

No, O'Sheas closing does not portend the impending doom of Las Vegas as you wrote in your little ditty. Even though you might secretly desire it to be so, lol

In fact, it's a good thing as the IP, ever popular, is doing great and will be undergoing a major renovation and the property will become bigger to accomodate more guests as per the demand. Employees who were laid off will be absorbed in the other properties.

And Margaritaville's owner (Jimmy Buffet) is going to get a gaming license here, approvals will be coming soon. It was on the news this weekend! That whole area over there is a great location.

I've been told this last St. Patrick's Day blowout is not to be missed, if you're into that kind of debauchery and self abuse (LVD?)

BTW, what's a "Banger & Rasher" (sounds a lot like something one might get in Pattaya, Thailand!)

4:15 – 6:45 p.m.: Boogie Nights perform
7:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.: Weatherbox performs
9 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.: Saves the Day performs
10:15 p.m.: Midnight Manchester Orchestra performs
Midnight – 2 a.m.: DJ keeps the party going

Drink Specials
$5 16-ounce drafts of Miller Lite, Coors Light
$6 16-ounce Guinness draft
$6 aluminum 16-ounce Miller Lite, Coors Light
$6.50 Heineken Aluminum
$6 Jäger
$6 Baileys
$7 Jameson
$8 cocktails

Food Specials Ultimate Corned Beef and Cabbage Burger for $7
Irish Banger & Rasher for $7

Englestadt and his Nazi memorabilia collection and Hitler birthday parties creeped me out...

Imperial Palace needs to be levelled, the ground consecrated and something positive built in it's place.

That's just my personal opinion.

I appreciate you letting me know that, but I am broke and confined to my apartment.
