Default Crime by zip

As some of you know I sometimes work up crime charts by zip codes.

Here is a new set...

Crime in Las Vegas

Note that I punted on violent crime. Metro simply screws around with the reporting on this stuff too much to do anything rational on violent crime.

There is one on burglary that will please the inner city dwellers. It is reasonably clear that the inner city is safer on burglary than a lot of the suburb/near suburbs.

Stolen cars is clearly inner city. Maybe even mostly tourist. By the time you get to Henderson or Summerlin it is tiny numbers.

I am bugging Metro about the violent crime numbers. If they don't respond I will go after Goodman and the County Commission. May be fun.

Kirk Kerkorian, Bill Boyd, Steve Weinberg, and every other prominent citizen of THEcesspool should have consulted with you first, because they all live in the worst neighborhoods according to your little coloring book.

Ain't my coloring book. It is metro's numbers. It also deals with zip codes and not neighborhoods.

Just because there is more crime somewhere doesn't mean it's a worse neighborhood. There are plenty of factors that make an area worthwhile to live in.

You mean you'd rather live in Rancho Bel Aire than Lone Mountain?

Dollar for dollar I will take Lone Mountain. At least up to 10 million. Wynn might break that but nothing in there has yet.

And actually Wynn is not in there is he? Just nearby.

NUMBER 6 is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Thanks for the great map OLE!!

OLE,your map is extremely informative and valuable,if i could offer a suggestion in order to make even more useful especially for the out- of-towners (like myself) whom might not recognize the GLVA by zip codes, would be to attach or paste neighborhood names on the map.
