What is the demand for process servers in Vegas? Is it easier to get hired compared to other jobs?

I do not know about the demand here, but they get compensated very well with an average yearly salary of $77,000. I will say metro Phoenix has a very high demand for them with all those photo radar tickets.

I am willing to give it a try despite the expensive fees you have to pay in order to get licensed. Vegas is a tough town.

It's also a scary job. You never know what you are walking into. A million years ago, I was a police officer in Harris County, Texas(Houston). The only time I ever drew my weapon was serving a civil warrant. And the only time I ever called the bomb squad was on a minor criminal warrant for a bad check.

You just never know!

But for 77K per year, I would probably be willing to do it.

I had to hire a process server once....I visited their office.....met them....and can make the assumption that NO ONE in that OFFICE had made $77,000 in their LIFETIME.

NOW....that being said, I have no trouble believing that the process servers that work in the constables office make that amount

I saw a TV show about a process server on TV.. It was after the Lick Towing show.. You know reality TV has gone way too far when they have a show about parking violators.. One thing you might do is ask if you can ride along with a server for a day... Who knows they might say yes and offer you a job or even some help with licensing..

^^^+1. I had the misfortune of one showing up on my doorstep a few years back, which I mistakenly thought was a homeless guy looking for a shower...until he served me Then I watched as he sputtered away in his 1978 beater-mobile. So, no, highly doubt they make much more than minimum wage.

Most guys/girls are also completely surprised that the dirty scummy looking hit man they hired to kill their spouse was a cop. It makes no sense for a process server to come up to your doorstep in a nice car wearing a dress shirt with a clipboard. It would make it too obvious. No one would answer the door. I hope you get my point.

I had a process serving company for 8 years in LV. I made well over $77K a year although I had other services as well as process serving.

In order to get your own license from the PI Board you must have 2 years or 4000 hours process serving experience (unless they have changed the requirements since I left). So you have to work for someone else for a period of time before striking out on your own.
