Thanks ScoopLV, that site is really helpful!

I think settling on being average is a personality thing, not where you are residing.

T-Rob123, that post was fantastic! Thanks for sharing. Alot of comments i've seen on here seem to not be very helpful, and even some sound like people don't want you to visit/immigrate, and that's really got me excited again! However, i'm finding it nearly impossible to find a Visa, as apparently I can't get a temp working Visa, so it's really shot away my plan big time right now !!!!

I was never sure how this works because the lady I worked with who handled it wouldn't explain it to anyone, but don't you have to have a job offer, and doesn't the company have to show that they can't fill the job with an American before you can come here to work? It takes quite a while to get the paperwork approval on those, and that's about all I know about it.

Yeah, we had the same thing with my mum. We have family on the south east coast, they were trying to help us get out there, my mum was going to work at her uncle's company but they couldn't employ her until they advertise the job and applying Americans don't make the grade, so it's pretty tough to do it that way for me, because my high school/college grades are all different to US.

So now i'm planning on a 1 year working holiday Visa in Canada instead... With just a trip to Vegas

Vegas is casinos, casinos, casinos, and more casinos.

Your city is for the average. Get over it. The weather is terrible in the summer. The people drink too much. Party too much.

And the crime in this city is very hidden, but its everywhere. Look at all the real estate fraud that went on the last ten years, and the drugs are everywhere in this town, because people here just party all the time.

Find a real city, like LA, Chicago, or Seattle to live in.

Vegas is for those with no education and those looking to scam others. Or people with no ambition that deal cards or something like that.

Yes, choose those cities because no one parties, there is no crime there, no drugs, no fraud and the weather is just wonderful there. Of course, that is if you like snow, rain, cold, ice, torn up roads due to weather, hot, humid summers filled with mosquitoes and other nasty bugs. And horrible traffic. Oh yeah!

Atlanta would be a much better choice. Atlanta job wise is pretty good as there is a fairly large educated workforce and with its numerous universities, and numerous Fortune 500 Companies that are based there, Atlanta has good points as well as a somewhat decent public transport. Still, most U.S. cities, especially sunbelt cities, a car is almost mandatory.
