I am moving to Vegas for a job in mid May. The place I will be working at is in southwest Vegas so I am looking for something in that area. I am looking for a small apartment to start out. I know almost nothing about Las Vegas and I hoping to get some advice on where to start my apartment search, things to look out for and any general information that I would need to know. I appreciate any advice.

Well, sounds like somebody did not do their homework prior to applying for a job in Las Vegas. Try looking on apartments.com for starters.

I researched the cost of living and read what I could. But I have never spent any real time there. So I was hoping to get some advice from people who live there.

Where on the SW side are you looking? SW means different things to different people. SW could mean Durango and Blue Diamond, or Flamingo and Rainbow. If you go too far SW there will be few if any apartments.

Sounds like Arbor Pointe apartments would be right up your alley. Brand new place.

I'm pretty sure he was using the Internet Demoknite.
That is how he was able to ask a question in this helpful
group. That is what this forum is for right?

As far as "general information", there's a lot here to read already on this forum. Apartment rating sites are part of the picture, but are not very reliable, as most who post there have some sort of axe to grind.

For those who actually have some constructive advice to offer, which is the purpose of this forum, post away. If you don't have advice to give here, try another thread.

I have to say it. Sometimes people on this forum can be downright rude. He/She did say they read previous posts, but wanted to know if there was anything to look out for. It's one thing to be funny, and we all appreciate a laugh, but rudeness is something else. Why not just respond if you can offer some advise?
