I have never been one but do folks on this form ever go to them and do they win anything? I know it has riled the big casino owners some time ago but just wondering if the Dotty's are just a place to go like shopping when out and about.

I'm so tired of seeing Dotty's all the over the city, it's enough to drive me to a potty!

You just can't get away from them these days, popping up everywhere. At the Food4Less I shop at, Flamingo & Pecos, Lord Above! A Dotty's just took over the slot machine area there!

Wotty ya' tink about Dot!!!

It's just something about that name that deters me from going to any of them! So hoakey!

I've been to a couple of them and never won a cent. The machines seem very tight. There is a neighborhood kind of atmosphere and the employees knew a lot of the customers. Most of the customers were older and quite a few disabled folks. I think it's easier to get in there because it's smaller and easy to navigate. They have help yourself snacks and drinks for the players.

I also applied for a job at a couple of them and was never called or acknowledged one way or the other. I believe they don't pay all that well.

They are slot parlors with 15 machines that have better payouts on video poker than most tavern licenses, but are not competitive with local's casinos. They are extremely smoky, as their primary business is allegedly a tobacco shop.

On our way outta town yesterday my wife and I were looking for a quick bite to eat and thought about Dotty's, as we have never been in one before. I don't even know if they serve food at all, but after reading this thread, I am glad we continued on past the place and decided on Nacho Daddy's instead.

IIRC, only a couple of them serve food. For the most part, they are just mini casinos with 15 video poker machines in them.

One opened not too long ago in a strip mall about a mile and a half from the house. I've never gone in the place, and after reading these reviews, I probably won't.
