Sound advice. You've done a great service here. I tried to give rep points but it said I had to wait to spread the love around.

If you haven't survived at least one summer here or in a similar area you probalby won't get a call unless something trips my trigger.

My wife & I went through this and ended up
back in Sacramento. There was nothing available that was even close to what we were making here in Sacto. After 4 months my wife was offered a position answering the reservation phones at the RIO for $9.00 an hour & it was part time. The thought of dealing cards at the Riviera just didnt sit well with me so we moved back to Sacto.

I have been here for about 11 months and also have a hard time finding a job, I kept my old cell phone with my old area code and wonder if that is the reason for not getting any call backs

Would something like this catch your eye?
Retired Military (24 years)
BA Business Management from University of Maryland
13 years Middle/Upper Level Management
43 years old
Brand New to Las Vegas
Granted I would have a full resume, but how would this look for a management position at either one of the casino's or a local business (Home Depot, FEDEX, etc...) Curious as to your thoughts. Thank You.

Could be. The main reason, unemployment is high in the las vegas area.
