I LOVE old pics like this one...

What memories does this bring back for anyone? Share your stories! Oh, and I love that little yellow convertible. Is that an MG?

That's how I remember Vegas looking when we'd pass through there every summer for several years in the 60's. We didn't usually stay on the Strip, but mom would drive us down there to look around.

Are you sure that's 1965? I'm not positive, but I don't think Silver City opened until the 1970s.

I don't remember the Morocco but the Stardust was my favorite neon sign.

Yes, it's an MG. I had a red one a neighbor gave to me in exchange for babysitting services. Took me a while to figure out how to drive it. Think I had it several days before I got it out of second gear.

I found the pic on Facebook posted on a Las Vegas page. It was labelled 1965, so I assumed it was correct. It might not be!

My dad had an MG when I was a kid. I loved it because we would go for drives and he loved to drive fast! It was silver with a black top.

Just did a Google search, and see that Silver City opened in 1974, so this photo is NOT from 1965. I apologize for not verifying the date, I saw it on Facebook so it had to be correct, right?

I now wonder if the person who posted it meant 1975.

Anyway, still a cool pic, and I also love the Stardust sign.

It is. Even in the 60's, it looked pretty much like that.
