Isn't there an RV park behind CC somewhere? If so, is that the only one on the strip?

At one time CC and the empty land north of there (that will be the LV Rock in Rio venue), were designated to be City Center 2. Well we all know what happened to City Center 1, so that's not happening.

I believe that was removed to make room for the Rock in Rio amphitheater.

When we were children in the late 1970's our parents would take us to CC. They would give each of us money to last two hours to play the amusement games while my parents did a little gambling below. My mom would come up to check on us every half hour. The rule was that us kids (3) had to stay together. We always had a blast. We had so many stuffed animals with the CC logo card on the stuffed animals. My favorite was my orange dinosaur. Back then the only other place for kids that we'd go to was a video game arcade located in the Stardust.

I agree with the others that CC should get cleaned up. New paint, carpets, doors, fixtures, aroma scent, etc. would go a long way. The building has good bones. Nothing structural needs to be done to the property. The marquee sign is classic. It should stay forever. I understand the financial situation of the parent owners and chances are the place will look the same in 10 years as it looks now. Maintenance only fixes what's broke, evidently. The resort continues to earn a profit though.

BTW, was Dan Tanna's studio from the show Vega$ on the CC grounds or next to it?

-Cheers.

The RV park was a KOA site. MGM terminated the contract on Oct 1st, the area will be used for the "Rock in Rio" project.

Also MGM is renovating some of the rooms at Circus Circus.

Circus Circus also has the best steak house in Las Vegas.

This isn't a close to accurate statement. It's not even the best $50 steak in Las Vegas.

Funny Zagat has it listed at the number 1 steakhouse in Las Vegas...I'll take Zagat's opinion over anyone else's when it comes to food.
But, also...
USA Today its in the top 10.
Las Vegas Sun its in the top 10.

Many locals rave about it.

Zagat is a pay-to-play reviewer. The only restaurant review that matters is the Michelin Red Guide, which hasn't updated their Las Vegas listings since 2008.

Here is the list from 2008. I'll bet Carnevino would make the list today if Michelin updated:

Michelin Guide-Rated Restaurants in Las Vegas

Zagat is as irrelevant as Yelp reviews. It's better to ignore both of them when trying to select where to eat.

So the only review that matter is the Michelin Red Guide but it hasn't been updated since 2008...okay...lol.
Zagat is a good guide, sorry if you disagree...also Yelp reviews can be good as well.
Go talk to some locals and put your VERY outdated 2008 Red Guide down...in Las Vegas years 2008 is a long time ago.

And the R-J readers regularly select Olive Garden as the best Italian restaurant in town. That doesn't make it so. Instead, it's a source of embarrassment.
