Default i see golden nugget now has online play-money poker for Americans

and not just in Nevada.

this must be the beginning of legalized online poker for the whole USA. correct?

i haven't checked other hotels for this yet.

Legal regulations at this time only allow people physically in a state to play on a site for that state. So you would have to be in Nevada if real money is at stake, but obviously every casino wants to build brand loyalty now so they offer the play money sites. Speculation is high US Congress will change this in the not too distant future but don't assume anything, could take a year, could take 10 years.

I think the consensus is that the feds will never be able to legalize it. Too many groups are against it, especially the tribes who have a major say in this. Southpointpoker.com is another free site in Nevada. Nevada has legalized real money online poker but no casinos have a license yet, only software providers. Real money online poker will be live in NV by year end. Delaware should have it very soon too.
