Not a big deal but as a new part-time condo owner I am surprised of all the little bills I end up paying out. The one I got today was for $120 (but it's for the whole year) from Clark County Water Reclamation. I was thinking when our HOA papers said water was included in our HOA fees they meant all water-related fees. It's still a privilege I feel to have such a decent water supply in the dessert that this cost is minor.

Water reclamation is 'sewer' service, it's a separate charge

[mod cut-- orphaned]

Binionrat, as for minor incidental and unexpected charges, just put aside 20% more than your budget for your vacation house. If you don't end up spending the money on taxes, fees, repairs and similar, spend that money on vacation. Works well.

Oh, now I get the term "reclamation" LOL...(Sound of smack to my head by myself) ....At home in Canada we have a well in the front yard with pump in the basement and septic field in the back yard...No utility charges from anybody but we've got to always be careful to not use too much water or we run out or to flush anything down the toilet that doesn't disintegrate quickly or would plug up pipes/drainage. We've got a whole lake across the street but pumping it to our residence is not a possibility.
